West Yorkshire Youth Network

What is WYYN?

WYYN, the West Yorkshire Youth Network, is an opportunity for young people across the District to have a voice at District level. Any young person aged 11-23 can take part in the events.

Our most recent WYYN event was the weekend away which happened on 22-24 April 2016 at Carlton Lodge near Thirsk.

All our events are planned by the shaper group which is made up of young people from across the District plus five nominated adults. Each Circuit is invited to have two reps aged 14-23 to be part of the shaper group. The shaper group meets 3-4 times a year to plan the events.

District Youth Co-ordinator

Laura Tunnacliffe is the District Youth Co-ordinator. This role involves working with the shaper group to plan and organise the youth events, meeting with youth groups to build links across the District and arranging networking opportunities for youth and children's workers across the District.
