A warm welcome is to be found throughout the West Yorkshire Methodist District. Stretching approximately 80 miles from north to south and with an area of some 1400 square miles there is much variety in the mix of urban and rural life.

There are 15 Circuits within the District and 160 individual churches. We continue to wrestle with appropriate ways of supporting mission and evangelism amongst us here in West Yorkshire. The "Our Calling" process and the "Priorities of the Methodist Church" have helped shape our thinking.

We actively encourage circuits to rethink ministry and mission in response to changing times. As part of the "Mapping a Way Forward" process we have formed three new circuits from September 2009 from seven "old" circuit groupings and further changes are anticipated in 2010 and 2011.
